The stick itself is intelligently designed and is very easy to use. The black rubber button is easy to access, the batteries (which tend to last around 18+ hours) are very easy to replace, and the stick is lightweight and easy to swing around. Additionally, to switch between the three different lighting modes (chasing effect, strobe effect, and normally lit) only requires a click of the black button. When lit, the LED stick matches, if not reaches beyond the normal brightness of a glowstick. A very nice design, interesting effects, and a bright glow all contribute to a great toy, but the one downfall of the LED stick is that it is very breakable. The cheap plastic will crack after dropping it on a hard surface a few times, and with more abuse will surely break.
Practically speaking, this is a great toy. Because of its light weight it is easy to swing around either with your hands or with strings attached; there are holes placed at each end that make attaching strings effortless. What really stands out about the LED sticks are the “strobe” and “chase” modes you can set them to. When swung around these effects create some really interesting patterns and effects in the air and are very enjoyable to watch and dance with. Although, tossing and juggling them while dancing is a bad idea due to the breakable plastic. Practically they can be used in a variety of ways, from serving as a constant light source for your bike or body, to a light for your porch or tent while you’re having a party.
Overall I would say this is a well designed light toy that has many practical uses along with being fun to dance with. Although, you should beware if you are looking for something durable that will last beyond a few drops, because I want to stress that this is not a durable stick. If the durability does not bother you, this LED stick is well worth the money.
